Description Fruit and Vegetable Essentials arms your body with the goodness and benefits of whole, raw fruits and vegetables so that you can consistently receive the nutrients you may lack from your diet by not eating the recommended amounts each day. No single fruit or vegetable contains all the essential nutrients our body requires for optimal health. Fruit & Vegetable Essentials conveniently ensures that you and your family obtain each day a wide variety of plant nutrients, often referred to as "eating the colors of the rainbow." These vital supplements are provided in a convenient duo-pack: one bottle of Fruit Essentials together with one bottle of Vegetable Essentials. Ingredients
Usage Swallow 2 capsules of each supplement daily with water. If their healthcare provider permits, then children ages 4-12 may take one capsule of Fruit Essentials and one capsule of Vegetable Essentials daily. Older Children may continue with the half dose or, doctor allowing, the parents may raise the dose to the full adult amount of two of each per day. Before giving your child any nutritional supplements, we advise that you consult their healthcare provider(s) regarding selection and dosage. Usage Tip: If someone cannot safely and comfortably swallow the capsules, then the two parts of the capsule may be cut or pulled apart and the contents mixed with a Protein Shake, juice, yogurt, applesauce or another food or drink of choice.

Another significant way that Fruit & Vegetable Essentials is different from a multi-vitamin supplement is that it also contains fiber, digestive enzymes, and probiotic to assist with digestion and with gut health. This multifaceted supplement provides numerous health benefits and types of nutrition. In contrast, multi-vitamins target a limited number and specific amount of essential nutrients. Many people take a multi-vitamin to ensure a foundational supply of these essential vitamins and minerals and receive the additional phytonutrients (such as flavanoids, anthocyanins, polyphenols) and other benefits of Fruit & Vegetable Essentials and/or Power Antiox in order to complement (rather than replace or compete with) the essential vitamins and minerals contained in the multi-vitamin. Q: What is the ORAC value of the Fruit & Vegetable Essentials and Power Antiox supplements, and just what does this measurement represent? A: The measure of an antioxidant’s potential effectiveness in the body is represented by a standard a standard of measure called ORAC value. ORAC is an acronym for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity. A food’s ORAC value is a representation of its antioxidant power, meaning how well something works to neutralize free radicals so that they do not harm cells, DNA, and other parts of our bodies. The RDA for ORAC value is 2500 and the recommendation is to eat a combination of 5 to 9 fruits and vegetables each day to obtain this amount of antioxidant benefit. A daily serving of Fruit & Vegetable Essentials provides approximately 5000 ORAC: 2500 for the Fruit Essentials capsules and 2500 for the Vegetable Essentials capsules. These whole foods supplements are high potency, freeze‐dried extract of fruits and vegetables. They naturally contain an abundant variety of beneficial antioxidants. We do not have an ORAC value for Power Antiox, but we do know that just 1 gram of wild blueberry extract is equivalent to the ORAC value and anthocyanin content of 2.5 cups of wild blueberries, which have been shown to have a much higher ORAC value and contain more nutrients than regular, cultivated blueberries. This 1 gram contains an amazing 6500 ORAC units. The point is that both of these products provide a convenient, year-round supply of fabulous nutrition that would be very expensive and probably impossible to duplicate, considering the selection and variety of fruits and vegetables provided in these 2 products.
