Meet Dr. Buchoff
Dr. Gerald Buchoff was born in Baltimore, MD, October 16, 1953 and grew up in Bloomfield, NJ. He attended Cook College (Rutgers University) for his BS (Animal Science) and MS (Immunology) degrees. He received his veterinary degree (BVScAH) from G.B. Pant University College of Veterinary Sciences, Pantnagar, India in 1980.
Dr. Buchoff owned and directed North Bergen Animal Hospital in North Bergen, NJ for 19.5 years. He now owns and operates Holistic Pet Care, a clinic and house call practice out of Little Falls, NJ (www.hpcnj.com). Gerry and his wife, Marilyn Rose, have 3 boys: Adam, Daniel, and Isaac; 2 dogs (Billie and Copper) and Julius the cat. A certified traditional veterinarian, Buchoff became interested in holistic pet care after attending veterinary school. There he learned about different homeopathic methods to treat pets as well as ayurveda, the ancient Hindu science of health and medicine.
Dr. Buchoff is a past president of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association 2004 - 2005. He also was president for two separate terms of the Northern New Jersey Veterinarian Medical Association.
