Description
A busy, stressful lifestyle can take a toll on your enjoyment of life. Defend your health and well-being by arming your body each day with essential vitamins and minerals to help ensure that you obtain the nutrients you need while avoiding the iron you don't need. Women's Gold provides a reliable foundation upon which to build your supplement regimen, helping you to maintain your vitality, health and enjoyment of life for years to come.
An Overview of the Phases in a Woman's Life
Puberty leads to the childbearing years, which are followed by perimenopause. During perimenopause, a woman's production of estrogen and progesterone decreases as her body prepares for menopause, the time of her final menstrual cycle. A woman may experience some uncomfortable symptoms during perimenopause, including menstrual cycle fluctuations (light, heavy, shorter, longer), night sweats, hot flashes, moodiness, irritability, depression, vaginal dryness, difficulty sleeping, and trouble concentrating. These symptoms may last from two to eight years until menopause, the final menstrual period, occurs. The average age of menopause, completion of the first year without a menstrual cycle, is 51; it commonly occurs between the ages of 45 to 55.
This final phase of a woman's life, postmenopause, is a new beginning for a woman as she may now enjoy freedom from menstrual periods, most perimenopausal symptoms, and concerns related to birth-control. Because a postmenopausal woman no longer has a monthly menstrual cycle, Women's Gold is iron-free. Women's Gold also targets other concerns commonly shared by postmenopausal women, including bone health and strength, brain function, memory, and vision protection.
Note: Women's Balance is designed to help relieve the symptoms of PMS, perimenopause and postmenopause.

Benefit |
Calcium and Vitamin D3
|
Osteoporosis is a disease that causes bones to become thin and brittle. It develops when the amount of bone lost exceeds the amount of bone formed. Calcium and Vitamin D are important nutrients that help to reduce the risk of osteoporosis. The National Institute of Health estimates that many adults consume less than half the daily recommended amount of calcium. For optimal bone health support, select the Women's Gold Pack which combines Women's Gold with Calcium Plus. |
| Vitamin K |
Vitamin K has been identified as an important nutrient linked to improved bone density and decreased risk of bone fracture. Vitamin K helps to activate proteins that are necessary for bone mineralization. Vitamin K2, specifically, has been shown to promote removal of calcium from the arteries and delivery of calcium to the bones, benefiting both cardiovascular health and decreasing the risk of osteoporosis. Although Vitamin K is a fat-soluble vitamin, the body stores very little of it, requiring regular dietary intake in order to ensure adequate replenishment of this essential nutrient. |
| Vitamin D3 |
Vitamin D3 is an important hormone required for calcium absorption and the regulation of bone metabolism and repair. Combined with calcium, Vitamin D3 can help to heal broken bones and also reduce the risk of future fractures. |
| Lutein |
Lutein is an antioxidant carotenoid pigment located in the retina and macula where it serves to filter blue light, thereby helping to protect eye tissue from photo damage. Scientific evidence suggests that Lutein helps to reduce the risk of developing Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) and cataracts. |
| Vinpocetin |
Vinpocetin is derived from the periwinkle plant (Vinca major). This nutrient has been shown through research to benefit eye health and function, helping to reduce the risk and progression of glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration. Additionally, it helps to improve visual acuity. It has also been associated with improving blood circulation to the brain and eyes. Various brain function improvements have been shown through supplementation with Vinpocetin, including improved memory and reduction in symptoms of menopause, headaches, depression, lack of alertness, and anxiety. |
| Pueraria Mirifica |
Research suggests that Pueraria mirifica promotes bone retention and improved cholesterol levels, helping to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis. This herb has also been shows to effectively reduce menopausal symptoms without significant side effects, and may also help to improve brain and skin health. |
| Boron |
Boron plays a key role in coordinating nutrients involved in bone health. Adequate intake reduces the amount of calcium and magnesium excreted in urine. |
| Zinc |
Zinc is an essential trace mineral that assists in calcium and phosphorus absorption and is critical for collagen formation in bone tissue. Recent research supports an understanding of the important relationship between zinc content in bones and the bone strength. |
| Manganese |
Interacts with Vitamin D to facilitate calcium absorption. Helps the body form and retain bone tissue. |
| Copper |
Copper is a critical nutrient used by osteoblasts, cells that build bone tissue. |

Common Questions
Q: When I first started taking Women's Gold, I noticed that my urine color had changed to a vivid yellow. Is this normal?
A: This commonly occurs due to some of the rich plant pigments and B vitamins which carry through to the urine.
Q: When is the best time to take my multi-vitamins?
A: It is commonly suggested to take vitamins and minerals during the daytime with food to ensure maximum absorption and ease of digestion. You may take them together if this is most convenient for you, but you will obtain maximum benefit by taking them at two separate times if possible.
Q: Does this supplement contain gluten or yeast?
A: Women's Gold is gluten-free and yeast-free.
Q: Why is it important to take a multi-vitamin?
A: Multi-vitamins ensure that we receive a baseline amount of essential vitamins and minerals each day that our body is unable to produce on its own. Essential nutrients, such as those contained in the multi-vitamin, can only be obtained from foods and supplements.
